Recycling
Why do we ...
Wash Cans
To clean the can of any impurities such as soda, making them cleaner, and thus easier to store
Wash Plastic Bottles
To clean the bottle of any impurities such as juice, making them cleaner, and thus easier to store
Metal recycling
Process
Collect the metals, either from recycling bins or from scrap yards.
Sort them to prevent them from mixing during the process, such as separated aluminium from brass.
Process the metals into more easily recycled form, generally shredding them into smaller pieces for easier melting processes.
Melt the metals into a liquid-like molten state. Each metal has a furnace made specifically to melt it down.
Purify the metals by removing impurities, generally through electrolysis, a method using electricity to separate different elements, normally used to remove metals from ores.
Solidify the molten metal into necessary shapes, such as ingots or plates

Paper recycling
Process
-
Sort the paper according to type of fibre used. For example, Newspapers and Tissues are different types of paper and are composed of different kinds of fibre.

If necessary, additional fiber is added to the pulp

Plastic recycling
Process
-
Separation of different types of plastic, such as PET and HDPE
Washing the plastic to remove impurities that came with the plastic, such as juice left in bottles.
Shredding the plastics into smaller pieces, making it easier to find other impurities and also easier to melt
Melting plastic is similar to melting metal, making the material into a state which its shape can be freely changed
