Signs and symptoms
Loss of coordination
Seizures, no previous history
Muscle weakness on one side of the body
Altered level of consciousness

Types + Pathophysiology
Intracerebral
Occurs within the brain parenchyma from the ruptured arteriosclerotic artery
Subdural
Occurs when thesmall blood vessels i the archnoid matter rupture
Extradural
Rupture of blood vessels in the extradural space
Subarchnoid
Bleeding in the subarachnoid space surrounding the brain and spinal cord
Nursing intervention
Assess level of consciousness, GCS
Ensure airway patency
Frequently monitor heart rate and BP
Ensure patient is hydrated and monitor intake and output

Hypertension
Bleeding disorders
Diagnostic tests
MRI
CT scan
Cerebral angiography

Altered comfort due to raised intracranial pressure evident by headache verbalized by patient
