Pathophysiology
A thrombosis of cerebral vein results in increased venular and capillary pressure decreasing the cerebral tissue perfusion and cerebral edema
Also leads to decreased CSF absorption, thrombosis increases venular and capillary pressure decreasing CSF absorption which increases ICP
Increased ICP contributes to hypertension leading to hemorrhage and edema of the cerebral tissues in the brain
