When people begin to leave one area and move to another, it is called migration.

Location and Immigration
Cities, often located on the coast, were usually landing places for groups of immigrants, and are often home to many immigrants, and many different groups of immigrants.
When many different kinds of people all live together in the same place, we can call the place diverse.
Diversity can make an area more culturally rich. It can also make an area more financially prosperous.
Where there is a lot of diversity and a lot of immigration, it means the place has the best cross-section of intelligence and skills from many different places.
Immigrants bring their skills and their smarts with them when they arrive at a new place, which in turn has a positive effect on the area.
