Defination
group of conditions that affect the eyeball, they all have common characteristics raised intraocular pressure, cups the optic disk and restriction of visual field, in glucoma the production of aqueous humor exceeds it drainage
Pimary open angle
this condition is usually bilateral and does not progress simultanously in both eyes. There is an open angle of filtrations, may cause visual impariment , blurring of vision or halos around lights, difficulty in focusing and cupping and optic disc palour due to intra-ocular pressure
