Funded by the Ministry of Home Affairs and implemented by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

Making the educated youth – graduates, post-graduates and three-year diploma holders in engineering – of J&K employable.

The aim of the Udaan scheme is capacity building of the youth in J&K through skill development and subsequently exposing them to the best of corporate in India.
The initiative also aims at providing the corporate sector in India access to the rich talent pool in J&K.

Objectives of the Scheme
To provide exposure to the graduates and post graduates of Jammu and Kashmir to the best of the Corporates India

Udaan Mega Drives act as a platform where multiple corporates help mobilise youth of J&K for Udaan training program that are organize across the state in different districts.
The selected eligible candidates/trainees will receive a minimum of Rs.2500 per month as a stipend during the training period.
It aims to cover around 40,000 youths of J&K over five years

They will also be covered with medical or travel accident insurance against travel accidents, exigencies, and illnesses at Rs.1500 per trainee.
The corporate can interview the candidate/trainee for placement either during or after completing the training. + When the candidate/trainee gets successfully placed, the Implementing Agency will reimburse Rs.50,000 to the corporate.
