Rotation- Internal (inward) or external (outward) turning about the vertical axis of the bone,Pronation- Rotating the hand and wrist medially from the bone & Supination-Rotating the hand and wrist laterally from the bone

Adduction: Motion toward the midline, Abduction: Motion away from the midline of the body, Elevation: Moving to a superior position, Depression: Moving to an inferior position,inversion: Lifting the medial border of the foot & Eversion: Lifting the lateral border of the foot

movement in the body happens in muscles that are near a joint, so for the movements to go on it is necessary to to be an axis of joint for the bones of the skeleton to move
an example of this is when we are runnig, we are the objects and our legs are the levers
