Pertinent Assessment Findings
Frequent and painful urination.
Intense pain in the side, abdomen, groin, or genitals
A urinary tract infection may also be present.
Patient Education
Eat a balanced diet that is not too high in protein.
Limit food that are high in a substance called oxalate
Limit the amount of salt in your diet
Interventions
Stay hydrated drink plenty of water
Medical procedures may be needed to remove or break up larger stones.
