First class levers
The fulcrum of first-class levers is located between the force and the load. When you use a screwdriver to remove the lid off a paint tin, the effort is distributed over a greater distance than the burden.
Other examples of first class levers are pliers, scissors, a crow bar, a claw hammer, a see-saw and a weighing balance
Third class levers
Between the Load and the Fulcrum is the Force. It would be easier to lift and have a mechanical benefit if the Force was closer to the Load.
Examples are shovels, fishing rods, human arms and legs, tweezers, and ice tongs. A fishing rod is an example of a Class Three Lever.
