In Stardust, much of the love that was seen in the movie came from Tristan and Yvaine. Early on in the movie, we can see that Tristan thinks that he loves Victoria, who doesn’t actually love Tristan back. However, after a lot of time together, Tristan and Yvaine eventually love each other.
In the movie, Tristan finds that the “other city” is much different compared to the city he lives in (Wall, England). He finds the people living there, the environment, and the nature is very odd compared to what he is used to.
Throughout the movie, there is a present theme of happiness. Tristan only experiences true happiness when he meets Yvaine, and eventually begins to love her (and she loves him). At the end of the movie, Tristan makes himself the king and Yvaine the queen.
Before Tristan ever meets Yvaine, he is infatuated with another girl at the town... her name was Victoria. Tristan was constantly unhappy because she would keep turning him down (She didn’t like him). However, when Tristan meets Yvaine, he has many exciting adventures with her.
Though this is vague, goodness is seen throughout the entire movie. One of the best examples of goodness in the film was when Tristan decided to help Yvaine because she was in great danger from Lamia, the witch.
There is a lot of evil in Stardust, mainly from the witch named Lamia. Lamia has two other sisters who are her friends and also are menaces towards society. The three sisters are trying to get revenge against Yvaine so they can get her heart and capture her youth and beauty (the sisters are over 5,000 years old).
We can see that there is one major difference between Tristan, and the witch, Lamia. While Tristan thinks of others before himself and helps people, Lamia only cares about herself and selfishly wants the heart to restore her beauty and youth.
There are many mistakes that have ocurred in the movie, and even some of our protagonists make mistakes. However, they were quick to fix, and ended in Tristan and Yvaine’s victory.
Personally, I thought the acting was a little bit bad and the whole movie was bland. However, the plot was nice, and had a good theme for fairy and folktales.

For those who don’t know, the style of animation for Snow White was known as cel animation (celluloid), where animators would hand draw on transparent pieces of paper.
Snow White made the biggest mistake in the movie which was biting into the apple. It does seem very fishy to eat an apple from someone you don’t even know, like clicking a link from an anonymous email.
Selfishness was seen in the movie a lot, especially with the antagonist, the witch. The witch wanted to be the fairest of them all, but couldn’t be because she was ugly. So the witch decided to be selfish and harm Snow White.
Of course, the main evil in the movie came from the witch who envied Snow White because she was the “fairest of them all”. Throughout the movie, there was a lot of suspense because the witch was plotting something evil while Snow White didn’t do anything about it.
Goodness: In the movie, Snow White does a lot of things for the good of the dwarfs and nature. For example, she finds the dwarfs’ house to be a mess, and then promptly cleans it up.
There was also a lot of unhappiness in the movie. The best example of this was when Snow White died from eating the poisoned apple. All the dwarfs and animals were very unhappy and it brought the mood down by a lot.
Snow White is happy virtually all the time. This leads to other people and animals experiencing happiness with her. There is even a dwarf named Happy, known to have a positive demeanor.
In the movie, Snow White is always surrounded with nature and makes the environment pleasant wherever she goes. Even some dwarfs like Grumpy likes her prescence. We can see that in the movie, Snow White loves the nature and environment, and vice versa.
Snow White is one of Disney’s oldest films ever created. There is a prevalent theme of love in the movie. Snow White shows love to the Dwarfs, the animals in Nature, and of course, the wealthy and charming prince.
What makes the movie significant is Kaguya’s experience with nature. The whole world around Kaguya is filled with nature, and is what influences her to make decisions.
This theme combines happiness and unhappiness together. While Kaguya is constantly showered with gifts and lives in a mansion, she is always discontent because she finds herself happy when she is in the woods with the nature, where she belongs.
Even though Princess Kaguya is acting against her will, she decides to be a good person to her guardians and act like a princess. She eventually finds Sutemaru and enjoys herself as they profess their love for each other.
There is no protagonist or antagonist in Princess Kaguya, and no evil. The whole movie is just a battle of who should claim Kaguya.
Confusingly, Kaguya decides to reject all the suitors that come to her. Accepting them could be her benefit, but she decides not to because she has no interest in anyone, and thinks they are not worthy enough for her.
Personally, the movie was very visually appealing and the point got across very well. One of the best Ghibli Animation movies of all time, in my opinion.
Like many other Ghibli Movies, this one is basically a tragedy. This is because Princess Kaguya wants to do her own things and live her own life, but is constantly held back by filial piety and her fate (she is the bamboo girl after all).

- The love seen in these three movies are fairly similar because all the main characters have a devotion towards something. Tristan is devoted to Yvaine, Kaguya is devoted to her family, and Snow White is devoted to the nature and her dwarfs.
-
- Throughout the movie, the characters experience happiness. Tristan is continuously happy because he loves Yvaine, and Snow White is happy because she has her companions. (on the contrast, Kaguya is unhappy because she never gets to live in the woods)
- And like any other movie, there is a theme of evil (in Stardust and Snow White). Tristan is going up against a witch, while Snow White is also fighting a witch. Both witches are trying to hurt the protagonists in some way.
- In all movies, the protagonists make some mistakes that make them vulnerable to some danger. However, all characters learn from these mistakes and become wise.
-
- In Stardust and Snow White, both characters are constantly happy and content with what they have. However, Kaguya is always disappointed.
- There is no evil in Princess Kaguya, while in the movies Stardust and Snow White, there is.

Personally, the movies that I have watched have made it better through music. Music brings the point across faster, while also making it more appealing to an audience.
