Saline nasal spray, which you spray into your nose several times a day to rinse your nasal passages.
Pain relievers, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol, others), ibuprofen or aspirin.

nursing care plan
Pain
- Nurse the patient in a comfortable position of choice away from pain stimuli.
- Assess the intensity of pain on a scale of 1-10
- Advise the patient to report any pain he or she is experiencing so to get immediate attention
- Avoid unneccessary movements which can cause pain
- Administer analgesia as prescribed by the doctor
- Check vital sing and record them 4hourly
anxiety
-Encourage patient's family to visit oftenly to avoid boredom .
- Explain all the procedures in the language that the patient understands
- Offer emotional support to relieve anxiety
- Give antienxiolotic medication as ordered by doctor if anxiety persist
Defination
It is a condition in which the cavities around the nasal passages become inflamed.
Acute sinusitis can be triggered by a cold or allergies and may resolve on its own. It may lasts up to eight weeks and may be caused by an infection.
