Explosive screams, including profanities, or laughter
Abnormal body posturing, such as one arm extending while the other flexes, as if the person is posing like a fencer
Repetitive movements, such as rocking, bicycle pedaling or pelvic thrusting
Nursing management
Administer prescribed anticonvulsant agents.
Anticonvulsants act in one of two ways : suppression of dysfunctional neuronal discharge l, or presentation of the seizures discharge
Ensure that the patient is in a safe environment and no harmful objects around incase of episode to avoid any hurm
Make the patient
understand that the medication is taken for life and will help them if they use it successfully
Patient must avoid stress and reduce or stop drinking alcohol because they increase chances of convulsions

Definition
disorder in which nerve cell activity in the brain is disturbed, causing seizures or fits
Pathophysiology
A spontaneous electrical discharge occurs from the group of neurons, referred to as a seizure focus.
