What did the people do?
During earlier depressions, Canadians were common to leave the cities and farm. This way the Canadians could farm their food instead of selling the food for profit and buying food. However, this did not work during The Great Depression.
How did the others help
During The Great Depression, many suffered. many successful people and the community however noticed these people suffering and made organizations. For example, there were churches charities and soup kitchens which provided food, and shelter to those who were homeless and starving most of the time. Individuals helped as best as they could but there were just too many people to help.
