CHW tie-in details with isolation valves and bypass valve (temporary) and dismantling joints shall be included a valve chamber with adequate clearance for service and maintenance shall be shown.
Similarly Isolation valves with dismantling joints and other accessories in a valve chamber for each tie in pressurized utility services shall be shown.
For all pressurized services connection from tie in to the plant room air release valves at the highest points and drain valve at the lowest points based on the profile and piping run shall be indicated.
Adequate clearance between each services including insulation thickness shall be considered.
Coordination shall be carried out with other dry utility services like MV , LV ELV and Gravity Systems (Strom water , Foul sewer ) and existing storm water pipes , manholes etc. for minimum separation , buried depth , encashment if any and clearances shall be considered.
All services development (CHW , Fire , TSE and DW) and services corridors shall be shown individually as well as coordinated in BIM for all underground services.
Underground utility services BIM is work in progress; further workshops are required to validate the coordinated development.
Tie-in point/MV cable represented for Renad project is not correct. Erga to arrange a meeting immediately for further discussion on this subject with ASTAD for correct coordination of tie-in point location.
Erga to indicate new MV cable laying to Renad plot only. For future plot, indicate future MV cable laying provisions. Future cable laying provision proposal shall be without creating disruption to Renad operation during future cable laying and shall have easy cable access for maintenance.
Current directly buried cable route indicated for the future plot is located under the driveway for logistics. This is not acceptable. The proposed route with directly buried cable will create operational disruption for Renad during MV cable laying and cannot be maintained. Designer shall propose a cable route as noted above in comment-2.
Adequate clearance between building foundations and existing cable as per Kahramaa shall be followed. For example,at Southeast side of the plot ,the required clearance is not followed from the foundation to existing cables. Designer to verify the complete layout of the building to confirm required clearance from existing cables.
Existing MV cable indicated is not complete. Some cable lengths are missing at the Northeast and North of the plot.
Previous comments to verify and advise space provision to take MV cable to future plot via crossing the Renad plot are not done. Erga to verify and advise.

Erga mentioned that the coordination between all underground utilities (MEP, civil, structure) is always under process with the design progress.
For the ELV underground distribution, Erga explained the progress of the redundant path to MTR room, Erga highlighted that routing would be to the south of high school building and then heading north to reach MTR room.
There will be single routing with no redundancy regarding the ELV secondary distribution from the MTR to each building.
Eng Neelesh accepted this. Vodafone and OOREDOO will have dedicated duct banks to the MDF Room and will be shown in the progress design utility layout.
For the MV routing to the remaining plot of Renad Academy from Renad substation, it was agreed to cancel the routing on the service road and keep only the provision ducting inside Renad plot for the future plot. In addition, an MV provision duct bank will be added to the future plot from the west roadside as required by Eng Zafeer.
The progress of MV, LV, and ELV underground distribution utilities with their tie-in points was presented by the electrical engineer.
Civil
ASTAD requested a walkthrough for both sanitary and storm systems.
Erga clarified, in order to avoid crossing the existing storm sewer network, that two separate sanitary sewer networks are provided; a north network and another south network with two separate outfalls. Erga walked through both networks showing manholes and piping layout.
ASTAD asked if there were lift stations for sanitary sewer. Erga confirmed no lift stations in sanitary sewer main. Both north and south networks are gravity systems.
ASTAD then requested to show the storm sewer section at areas jammed with infrastructure utilities, for instance by the easement. Erga showed the section requested, with no clashes detected.
ASTAD requested that both storm and sanitary sewer manholes be rounded instead of square, especially that the foul manholes are usually round GRP prefab. Erga confirmed will comply with request.
ASTAD commented that no clear corridor provided for utilities. Erga confirmed utilities locations shown in templates drawing, included in ISD package.
ASTAD requested to have different colors for the sanitary and storm networks for ease of detection and reference in the BIM model.
ASTAD requested to receive BIM sections in jammed zones, ensuring no clashes.
ASTAD requested to add a note at the small alley going up to the Oxygen Park, stating,” Alley Alignment and grades to be coordinated with existing Oxygen Park connection” (see attached)
