Dog Ear VS Human Ear

Dog Ear
The dogs ear has been split into 3 parts. The inner ear, middle ear and the out ear
Inner ear
The inner ear for the dog is also called the labyrinth it includes the cochlea also known as a spiral tube, vestibule and three semicircular canals. The basic function of the inner ear is to maintain balance and also to transmitting the sound to the brain
-
The function for the vestibule is to control balance for the animal and then try to prevent them from falling over.
Outer ear
Function: The outer ear has the function to let the sound travel into the ear canal by flapping the ears.
-
The dogs ear canal has the function of allowing the sound waves to be channelled from the ear flap to the ear drum
The ear drum has a function of transmitting sound captured to the middle ear at last to the inner ear
Middle ear
The middle ear is made by three small bones, hearing ossicles, two muscles and located in the bulla. The three small bones are: Hammer, Anvil and Stirrup. And the muscles are the oval window and the eustachian tube. Other things that the middle ear is made from include an air-filled tympanic cavity and tympanic membrane.
The middle ear also connects the nose and the back of the nose allowing the air to enter the middle nose. And the middle nose has the function of conduction of sound waves and transferring the sound into the inner ear.
-
The Function of the eustachian tube is the tube allows air from the pharynx to pass in and out the middle ear , and keep the pressure normal.
The air-filled tympanic cavity has the function of applying sound waves that produce vibration inside the inner ear, and also allows animals to hear.

Human Ear
The Human ear has three distinguish part: inner ear, middle ear and outer ear.
Outer ear
Function: The outer ear collects the sound waves and channel them into the ear cannel, where sound is amplified. And at last it goes to the tympanic membrane.
The Antihelix and helix does not have big function, the helix is mostly used for piercing.
-
-
-
The Ear canal function is to be a entryway for sound waves, to get to the eardrum and the middle ear.
The auricle is also known as the pinna, it is a visible portion of the outer ear. It has the function to collect sound waves and transfer them into the ear canal, and then to to the middle ear.
Inner ear
Function: The inner ear receives information about sound and balance and processes them and send them to the brain.
The semicircular canals are three small fluid-filled tubes that has the function that help you keep your balance.
-
-
-
-
Middle ear
Function: The middle ear is an air-filled cavity that makes sound waves turn into vibration and delivers them to the inner ear.
-
The ear drum has the function to translate sound waves into nerve impulses when the sound wave strike the eardrum.
The hammer, malleus, incus, anvil, stapes and stirrup all have the function to transmit vibration caused by sound waves from eardrum membrane to liquid into the inner ear.

Differences&Similarities
Difference:
Dogs
-
A dog has his nose and back nose linked up with the middle ears, as the human does not.
-
A dog can hear 47,000- 65,000 HZ .
The dog can hear 4 times more more than a average human being. Including sounds that are at higher frequencies that human can hear.
The dogs ear canal is deeper and more narrow than a average humans being. The dogs ear canal almost makes a 90 degree bend as it travel deeper in the ear.

-
Similarities
Dogs has also some parts the human has including the Pina, Cochlea and more.
Both have outer, middle and inner ear
