During an attack of vertigo, lie down and hold your head very still until the feeling passes. This may help you cope with vertigo
Avoid caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, and stress, along with any other substances or conditions that trigger an attack.

Pharmacology therapy
Tranquilizers and antihistamines such as meclizine (Antivert) to control vertigo and to suppress the vestibular system; antiemetics for nausea and vomiting

Avoided alcohol, nicotine and caffeine

Causes
It's unknown, but it related to malabsorption of the endolympg in the membranous labyrinth.
Pharmacology
Tissue change in the labyrinth that trigger production of excess endolymph.
Thus disort the contours of the membranous labyrinth and destroy , delicate vestibule and cochlear hair cell.

Tissues changes in the labyrinth trigger production of excess endolymph, which distorts the contour of the membranous labyrinth and destroys the delicate vestibular and cochlear hair cells
