if you aren't paying attention to the schedule of the bill it can be taken away in a heartbeat
If it is taken off the schedule you should take action to contacting the sponsor of the bill, and contacting the members of the committee and asking them why it was taken off the schedule.
If there is was nobody who was advocating for this bill other than the sponsor themselves then it is your turn to help the sponsor advocate for their bill to be noticed.
have a call party with friends and family, post about bill on social media, maybe do a protest outside the building, maybe put signs around, contact different groups that might help in supporting your bill. Do as much advocating as you can to get the bill back on the schedule.

learning that there are so many different subjects out there to think about that has a policy and how long it has taken to improve and change those polices. and some of the same problems are still happening within those changed policies because of the lack of education and lack of people being able to change their opinions about these subjects, for example I am talking about the foster care system and the mental health system.
learning how to talk in different tones and in different ways.
