      - Change: This is change because he wanted to overturn the Treat of Versailles which would be a massive change for everyone involved.

        After leaving prison in 1924, Hitler revived the Nazi Party.
        
        The economic effects of the Great Depression helped Hitler’s cause, as the German people were also desperate for a strong leader who would improve their lives.
        
        Hitler also declared that Germany was overcrowded and needed more lebensraum, or living space
        
        He promised to get that space through imperialism, by rebuilding Germany’s military and conquering eastern Europe and Russia.
        
        When American loans stopped, the German economy collapsed.
        
        Germans now turned to Hitler, hoping for security and firm leadership.
        
        What did Hitler believe were the rights and duties of the German master race? I think that he thought that the master race was supposed to go along with him in whatever he believed in and help him accomplish his goals with taking land back over.

        a leader? Hitler was a great speaker and organizer which the people of Germany liked and so they chose him to become their new leader.

        With a Nazi majority, Hitler turned Germany into a totalitarian country, banning all other political parties and arresting his opponents.
        
        He also created the SS, loyal only to him, that arrested and murdered many of his enemies. This, plus the Gestapo, manged to shock many Germans into compliance.
        
        Why might Germans have put their faith in Hitler?
        
        Hitler's administration cut unemployment by over 2/3. The German people were put to work building factories and roads, making weapons, and serving in the military.
        
        The Nazis had control over the economy as well as the government. They banned strikes and removed independent labor unions. The government had authority over business and labor.
        
        Totalitarianism: a style of government in which there is a dictator and everyone must obey the state on all matters
  - - - Germany was rid of expression that did not conform to and support Nazi beliefs. Even schoolchildren were indoctrinated early (through Hitler Youth or the League of German Girls).
        
        The strong would succeed through continuous struggle, Hitler believed. He twisted Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophies to justify his use of brute force.

      - Does Fascism or Communism seem to be more concerned with the welfare of the people? I think Communism seems more concerned about the welfare of the people because Communism was designed so everyone would be equal and happy. Fascism seems like the dictator wants to take over everyone.
      - Communism - the concept for this section is communism because the communist party was similar to fascism in many ways. This is because the government plays a large role in both.
