Fighting
Probably the biggest variety when it comes to games with pixel graphics and HD graphics, most of the more popular fighting games use HD graphics, however, many use pixel graphics (especially indie fighting games)
Character designs are extremely important in fighting games because of how important hitboxes and hurtboxes are in them (especially in competitive scenes)

Platformer
-
Usually very casual, caution is required significantly less in platformers than in many other game genres
-
RPG
-
Mostly casual, caution is generally not required as much as it is in most genres, however, balancing characters requires a lot of caution
