Helps control red blood cell production and blood pressure
Major organs of the digestive system
Esophagus: Helps prevent regurgitation of stomach contents into esophagus
Stomach: Rugae, or gastric folds of submucosa allow for distention
Pancreas: produce pancreatic juice that aids digestion
Liver: Filters blood by removing damaged red blood cells
Digestive enzymes (including names and functions)
Location of digestion and absorption of each macromolecule
Layers of the GI tract (including stomach)
Nephron anatomy and physiology
Disorders of the digestive and urinary systems
Major organs of the urinary systems
The major organs are the kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder, urethra
Kidneys filter our blood
Ureters, which transport urine from kidneys to bladder
Urinary bladder is what stores urine
Urethra conveys urine to outside of body
