Matter is made of particles.
They are tiny and we cannot see them.
They are like super small balls packed together to form an object.
It means the “stuff” of the universe
It is anything that has weight and takes up space

Properties changes along with those tiny particles that it is made of.
The appearance of an object looks and its behaviour, we call it properties,
States

Gas
Particles move randomly
Very weak forces between particles
No definite shape
Particles are very far apart
Solid
Particles are in fixed position
Strong forces between particles
Regular arrangement
Have a definite shape
Liquid
Particles move randomly
Weak forces between particles
Irregular arrangement
No definite shape
An object made of matter can change its properties when it changes states.
