Design of E-Learning Programs
Fundamentals of Instructional Design with e-Learning
The pedagogical model must:
Collect the curricular design of each subject of the cycle.
Contain the appropriate and up-to-date teaching materials for distance training in Vocational Training.
Design multiple activities aimed at the skills that the labor market and training needs are demanding at all times.
Develop reliable, adequate and multiple evaluation and assessment methods.
Consider carefully the type of student, their possibilities, skills and attitudes.
Explain the material and human resources and the necessary physical and technological infrastructure.
Promote a methodology that encourages interactivity and work in collaborative environments.
Have staff trained in distance education.
Pedagogical models and e-learning
Following Julio Cabero (2006), the measures to ensure good practice in online training are:
• Provide clear guidelines for students to interact with teachers/tutors
• Facilitate cooperation among students through well-designed discussion
• Schedule projects to be carried out during the course
• Provide rapid feedback to the student on their progress
• Transmit personalized feedback to the student, including praise or aspects to improve in activities or assignments.
• Set a deadline to complete the training
• Increase student motivation by allowing them to choose the topics of the projects, thus involving them in their own learning.
MAIN STANDARDS FOR e-Learning
• Keep your brand always present. All your users must keep in mind who is the creator of the training offer that is changing their lives as it is a hallmark of quality, so make sure that all your materials always bear your brand without being obstructive, remember that the most important is the content.
• A logo of the appropriate size and resolution. You should not only make sure that all your materials carry your logo, but also that your logo is sharp and maintains its proportions: you should never distort it, place it in low resolution or incomplete, this can affect the perception of your company and the experience of your users.
• Take care of the appearance of your materials. Homolog styles, colors and designs so that they look unified with the e-learning platform you use. This will help all your users to quickly recognize your materials and have a better user experience when browsing them.
Design of virtual training environments
Telematics applications have to do, for now, with:
• The design of computer networks and better remote data transmission systems.
• The application of the Internet to numerous aspects of daily life, allowing the facilitation and abbreviation of procedures.
• Improvement of the transmission quality of existing networks, through the incorporation of new strategies or new materials.
• Design of new data collection or information transmission mechanisms, allowing more informed decisions to be made in different areas: industrial, business, political, etc.
