Rationale

Possible outcomes

Evaluation

Acute pain due to inflammation of the mastoid bone as evidenced by swelling, redness and tenderness behind the ear

Impaired hearing due to otorrhoea as manifested by hearing loss

Fever due to inflammation and infection

Assess for pain(site and intensity), give analgesics for pain relief, and antibiotics for infection

Talk using verbal and Communicating since the patient has troubling with hearing

Instruct the patient not to touch the mastoid bone as may continue infecting the ear.

Analgesics and antibiotics are used to decrease the onset and signs of the condition, finishing the antibiotics is a must as it helps with infection

Using facial expressions and verbal communication skills is the best as tge patient can see those

Ensuring to give the right dose for that medication at that time uf any pain present

Maintain Normal body temperature with no high temperatures

Suicide of pain and inflammation which will decrease fluid coming out if the ear

Patient has maintained nirmal body temperature

Infection has subsided
