Design Thinking
IDEATE
What is it?
Ideate is all about generating ideas. It’s not about coming up with the right idea, it’s about generating the widest range of possibilities. It represents a process of diverging in terms of concepts and outcomes.
Why?
We ideate so that we can transit from identifying the problems to creating the solutions for our target user. Ideation is all about pushing for the highest amount of ideas so we can select, and the decision to choose the best solution can be done through user testing and feedback.

EMPATHISE
What is it?
Empathise is the way and an attempt to understand the target user through understanding how they think, their physical and emotional needs, the way people do things and why they do it and what they value.

DEFINE
-
What is it?
Define is bringing clarity and focus to the design space, by defining the challenge you are taking on, based on what you have learnt about your target user and about the context.
How?
We need to look at a good POV and a good POV is,
-
-
-
a specific POV, not a broad POV.
Crafting a narrowly focused problem statement tends to yield solutions that are greater quantity and higher quality when you are generating ideas
One that provides a clear, common direction so the team can make decisions independently, in parallel.
PROTOTYPE
What is it?
-
In the early stages, we should create the framework of the product and not focus on the visual appeal and instead focus more on the price and time taken to make the framework of the product.
In the late stages, we should focus more on the visual appeal of the product and improve more on the quality and if the product works as intended.
-
-
TEST
Why?
-
So the user can see the prototype and test it out, so we can see how they react and learn more about the users needs
To see if the prototype fit the users needs and if it doesn't, we can refine the prototype even further
