Requirements
A self-evaluation (2-3 pages) about how your skills as a writer have developed as a result of the texts you have read and what you have written, citing specific pieces you’re including in your portfolio.
This self-evaluation should be typed and formatted according to MLA standards--MLA heading, page numbers, 12 pt TNR, 1” margins, etc.
In your self-evaluation, consider what you learned about yourself as a writer throughout the course of your high school career. It could be that you changed your writing process from unplanned freewriting then revising to revising as you go, or that you changed your brainstorming approach. Perhaps you didn’t change anything; rather, you became more aware of your own style as a writer or of your preferred organization skills. Maybe you even learned that you’re a neurotic reviser--that you never consider a piece of work finished and continue revising your work long after it has been graded. Cite specific works that have influenced your own style of writing.
Part 1: 4 samples

Four appropriate samples are included, both unmarked and graded, each with a fully developed rationale for why you included each piece and what each piece shows about you as a writer.

Part 2: Revision

Choose an early piece of writing from this year and revise it (might be a good idea to choose a timed writing).
This revision should show major improvements in an early piece of writing--not just word- and sentence-level editing. Perhaps you will have to rewrite it entirely; perhaps you won’t
