What, why, & when?
Assessment of learning, sometimes called "summative assessment," is designed to measure student achievement and the knowledge they have acquired. It can be used by educators to measure student progress against standards and outcomes. It is usually done at the end of a semester or quarter and is for ranking, with emphasis on scoring, competition, and marks.
