Effect of participant characteristics: Correlational studies have found that the development of emotional intelligence is related to age and gender. Ethnic background and cultural differences may also affect improvements in emotional intelligence.
Effect of intervention format: Several studies have reported consistent results with different intervention formats. Kruml and Yockey assessed whether the form of training delivery, and duration, would lead to different outcomes.
Expectation effect: There is effect only for the one who participates more intensively in team learning.
Clinical applications: Important relationship between emotional intelligence and psychological and physical health. improved emotional intelligence can improve health. Emotional intelligence can be applied to more specific areas such as psychosomatic difficulties or alcoholism.

Results related to:
Work: Emotional intelligence is associated with many important work-related outcomes, such as increased management skills and job satisfaction performance. Of the 11 studies: 8 reported significant outcomes and 3 assessed job performance.
Academic: In the 2 studies assessing teaching performance, there were no significant outcomes related to teaching effectiveness.
Psychological and physical health: As highlighted by numerous students and meta-analyses, emotional intelligence is related to psychological and physical health.
Relationships: Emotional Intelligence is also believed to influence social relationships, but only 3 studies have successfully investigated the impact of improved emotional intelligence on the quality of relationships
