WWI Effect on Women’s Rights: The war helped convince many Americans, including President Woodrow Wilson, that all of the country's female citizens deserved the right to vote.
Alliance System: a formal agreement between two or more states for mutual support in case of war.

Trench Warfare: a type of combat in which opposing troops fight from trenches facing each other.

Eastern vs Western Front (where they are and who’s fighting): A major difference between the Eastern and Western Fronts was their size. The larger Eastern Front meant that the war there was more fluid, and fighting was characterized by mobility and offensives.

New Nations created by WWI:The Treaty of Versailles created nine new nations: Finland, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Hungary.
