Mercutio - Romeos good friend - Optimistic & Loyal
"If love plays rough with you, play rough with love, If you prick love when it pricks you, you'll beat love down"
This quote from Mercutio is important because he's illustrating how love is both a physical and mental battle
-
Romeo - Passionate & Impulsive
Romeo is mainly the antagonist along with Juliet as well too. They play the roles of the antagonist because they are passionate to be together which is going against the families, bringing conflict
"Its easy for someone to joke about scars if they've never been cut"
In this case Romeo means that "only someone who hasn't had their love rejected could joke about it." But that quote could go along with many more things than just "love." The quote is important because it can apply to a lot of deeper things. The quote truly means alot more and is deeper than what Romeo means.
