UNIT 2. TYPES AND APPROACHES OF EDUCATIONAL QUALITY
Quality of conformity:
in the teaching-learning process, the fulfillment of all the objectives indicated in the plans and programs of its highest level of performance is supervised and guided.
Quality of availability:
focused on the educational product and the response to what is required
Design quality:
refers to the desired characteristics of the objectives of plans and programs.
Quality of service to the user:
allows to detect flaws in the educational service and look for measures to correct it, improve it, perfect it or recycle it for a better use.
UNIT 3. VALUE JUDGMENT ON EDUCATIONAL QUALITY
It requires the observation of the educational reality, it can compromise the being of the thing.
Quality is an inherent priority of anything that allows it to be valued over anything else of its kind.
The observed educational reality is compared with a desirable idea, this is an educational quality control.
The quality of education takes into consideration cultural, political and ideological criteria.
UNIT 4. QUALITY AND ITS ASSOCIATION WITH OTHER CATEGORIES
It considers aspects such as the expansion of educational coverage, the efficiency of the system, pedagogical management and administrative management.
UNIT 6. VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS
A new model for evaluating teaching quality is necessary.
The indicators are framed in four areas: level reached, success and transition, monitoring of education and resource and structures.
Due to the functions that have been assigned to teachers in distance education, it is very common for them to be called tutors instead of teachers.
Quality indicators: academic offer, organization and technology, support materials, teaching quality, knowledge creation, access, pedagogical design, institutional design, financial viability, complementarity.
UNIT 1. THE CENTER AS A QUALITY REFERENCE
School success depends on the ability of the educational system to offer and guarantee a quality education that allows all citizens to learn to function successfully in the different areas of life.
It considers ideological, organizational, administrative and human aspects.
For its achievement, family participation is necessary, providing an orderly and healthy climate, expectations of teachers and students, the application of policies focused on the scope of achievement and administrators with leadership.
UNIT 5. DIMENSIONS OF QUALITY
Training of suitable personnel to carry out educational activities.
Provision of the minimum resources to obtain an education with satisfactory achievements to achieve quality and equity.
Reorganization of the institution through a modernization process.
Education as a public service and not as a private matter..
