Factors that caused the French Revolution-

May 5th, 1789- Meeting of the Estates-General / Creation of the National Assembly

June 20th, 1789- The Tennis Court Oath was created, which said that the National Assembly would ban together until a new constitution was made for France.

July 14th, 1789- The storming of the Bastille Prison supplied the revolutionaries with weaponry and ammunition.

January 21st, 1793- The king was executed, as the people viewed the king as a traitor, just because he tried to escape what was basically house arrest.

March, 1793- The National Assembly was replaced by the National Convention.

September 1793 to July 1794- The Reign of Terror took place, and dozens of thousands of people died.
