cells and control
Growth , differentiation and cancer
animals
-
-
-
In mature animal cells , cell division moistly happens to repair damaged cells as they undergrow little growth.
Plants
-
-
In plants , differentiation can occurs in the roots and shoots

Chromosomes

Sex cells known as gametes are the expectation. they are diploid which means they contain 46 chromosomes

Stem cells
Definition
A stem cell is an undifferentiated cell which can undergo cell division to produce more similar cells. these cells can then turn into any cell and preform their function.
Types of stem cells.
-
Embryonic stem cells.
-
-
-
These could be used in medicinal applications such as replace insulin , regenerate the effects of Alzheimer's or replace damaged or dead nerve cells in the paralysed.
Meristem
-
Like the embreyonic stem el , they can differentiate into any typeof plant throughout the cell.
-
-
Stem cell research.
Advantages
Unwanted embryos form fertility clinics can be used / given a function as they would have been dissuaded.
-
-
Disadvantages
-
-
People might have Religious or ethical objections as it can interfere with the natural process of reproduction.
If the growing stem cell is contaminated , the contamination will be spread.

Genetics
Importance of mieosis
Mitosis is used in cell divion within the body and with it , 2 identical (haploid) daughter cells are produced.
Mieosis is different as with it , 4 Diploid cells are created ; they are varied.

Health
Types of deseases
-
A non communicable disease is a disease that can not be transferred between one person. These usually are genetic or are acquired through lifestyle.

Mitoisis
Interphase
The cells in the chromosomes , which make up DNA are replicated and copied so that there are two sets of chromosomes.
This is the initial stage of the growth phase. Extra ribosomes , mitochondria and other subcellular structures are produced.
Mitosis
In the stage of mitosis , the two sets of chromosomes are pulled to opposite ends of the cells.
-
Cytokinesis
The cells cytoplasm and the membrane divides into two identical diploid cells with two sets of chromosomes.
