Strep throat, which is caused by a bacterium known as Streptococcus pyogenes
Dryness. Dry indoor air, especially in winter when buildings are heated, can make your throat feel rough and scratchy, particularly in the morning when you first wake up.

Nursing management
-
Antibiotics can be used to treat bacterial pharyngitis, and these must be taken for the prescribed period.
-
Pathophysiology
bacteria invade the mucosal tissues of the pharynx directly. Extracellular factors such as proteases facilitate the tissue invasion and cause the inflammation that elicits swelling, exudates, fever, and pain with swallowing
As it is experienced more broadly, the inflammation may also contribute to symptoms of otitis and sinusitis, even when those areas have not been infected with the same bacteria.
Definition
