Background
Moral development is the way children begin to construct, a system of beliefs about how we interact with others. Piaglet suggested moral development is linked to how the child thinks about themselves and their surroundings.
Aim
Kohlberg's theory of MD is inspired by Piaglet as well as behaviourist and psychodynamic explanations of behaviour. To find support for this stages of moral development.

Sample
Over 12 years, studied 75 American boys aged 10-16 and 22-28 by the end. He decided to do a cross-cultural study (UK and America)
Procedure
Each boy was presented with a hypothetical moral dilemmas in 3 yearly intervals. Their answers and reasoning behind their answers were linked to 25 basic moral concepts or aspects.
