nursing diagnosis
- altered breathing pattern due to bleeding and congestion in the nose
- risk to fluid volume deficit related to nosebleed
- altered sleep and comfort due to the pain in the face and nose
nursing intervention
- position the patient in a siting upright position leaning forward to help reducing pressure in the nose veins
- administer decongestants as prescribed to help open the airways and reduce swelling in the nasal pathway
- apply warm pressure in the upper part of the nose nose to stop the bleeding
- monitor vial signs especially blood pressure for any signs of dehydration or hypovolemic and administer fluids on IV if needed
- if there is a severe deviation and surgery is needed a nurse should prepaire a patient for the surgery and assess the patient post surgery

expected outcomes
- patient to be able able to breath clearly without obstruction
- no bleeding
- no pain reported
- no anaphylatic signs post surgery

causes

Pressure effect- chronic Pressure from (polyp or tumor) pushing from one side can cause the septum to be pushed to the other side
Genetic connective disorders such as Marfan syndrome, homocystinuria and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome
diagnosis
Physical examination through a bright light and nasal speculum (an instrument that opens up the nostril).
