by: Said Taam EL Hajjar and Madina Sughra Alkhanaizi
training effectiveness
Donald Kirkpatrick (Mindtools, 2016) four steps to measuring of training effectiveness
steps 1: react to the measure on how the trainees reacted to the training (help to improve the training program and to identify the significant of the topics)
steps 2: learning ( what is the trainee learn and what can improve for the future)
steps 3: behavior ( evaluate the change of the behavior of the trainee after the training)
steps 4: results ( look into the final results of the training include of the benefits and the outcomes of the training)
training is a systematic way to improve the performance of employee and as the link among the job requirements and the job specification of
employee training is the significant of the factor in attaining of the goals and the objectives of the organization
Hypothesis 1: TCs have no significant effect on training
effectiveness.
Hypothesis 2: TE have no significant effect on training
effectiveness.
Hypothesis 3: Facilities and materials have no significant
effect on training effectiveness.
Hypothesis 4: TPS has no significant effect on training
effectiveness.
Hypothesis 5: Presentation style (PS) has no significant
effect on training effectiveness.
-
- Training environment (TE)
- to enhance and to detract from the learning experience
- the space and color of the building, the seating arrangement, then environmental considerations, attitudes of trainee and other factors can affect the positive of learning environment
- importance to select the training activities to improve the teaching and learning process
- instructor-led sessions, computer-based training, multimedia-inspired lessons
- to maximize the skills, knowledge, and attitude
- Facilities and Material (TM)
.- include auditoriums with typically large-sized rooms, multiple purpose medium-sized instruction room, audio/visual quipped rooms, computer training rooms
- environment able to adapt the new situation and it must be safe, comfortable and accessible
- the objectives of using training materials is to involve the trainees during the activities, promote active interaction and encourage faster learning and help to improve comprehension
- is to motivate the participants be actively involved in training program
- schedule is been designed to address any relevant of the issues that may be occur during the rpogram
- help to find effective solutions to any related of the contingencies during the process of the training
- main goal is to motivate the trainees and to increase their desire to learn for new ideas and skills
- help trainees to learn and to remember
- can achieved if the trainers result to presentation for the styles that lively and interesting
conclusion
- neutral perception on TCs, TE, TM , TPS and presentation styles of the trainers when the process of the training
- the effectiveness of the training been suggested by the trainees is that the training programs did not meet their expectations and the needs when attending for the training activities
- it can be concluded that there have strong positive linear correlation among the five independent variables namely, TCs, TE, TM,TPS and PS and dependent variable and the effectiveness of the training
- maximize the output that will redound to the learning abilities and the skills learnt by the trainees
