- - - - What strategies new to World War I probably contributed to the destruction of homes, villages and farms?
        
        If the people you are attacking don't have a places to grow and make food it'll be a lot harder to get. Make the people you are fighting starve is a good idea and has been used by great generals in the past.
    - - A sense of disillusionment settled over the survivors. The insecurity and despair that many people experienced are reflected in the art and literature of the time.

        The put full effort into factories to help the war. This made it so they would get more goods for the war and it also decreased unemployment.

    - - Under this system, people could buy only small amounts of those items that were also needed for the war effort.
        
        Eventually, rationing covered a wide range of goods, from butter to shoe leather.

        Because the countries devoted all their resources to the war, the made rationing. This made it so people could only get small amounts of what they need. They did this so they could get as much materials or food as they needed for war

        Governments also used PROPAGANDA, one-sided information designed to persuade, to keep up morale and support for the war.

        They also kept troops supplied with food, clothing, and weapons.

      - Consequence - Russia was not able to keep up with their food and fuel to provide for their military. The consequence from their lack of industrialization was a massive loss of soldiers, along with the stepping down of their leader.

    - - Revolution - A revolution began in Russia, leading to a new leader and an army that no longer wanted to fight.
        
        What effect did the Russian Revolution have on Russia’s role in World War I?
        Because of the Russian Revolution, Russia left the war after signing a treaty with Germany. If they would not have left the war, it is very possible that the Allies would have won more quickly, because Germany would also have to defend themselves in the east.

        Total War - The concept for this section is total war because Germany involved their whole country in the war. This included their economy, and all of their resources. This clearly was not enough, because the army still ran out of supplies and became exhausted.

        Without the Ottoman Empire, Bulgaria, and Austria-Hungary, Germany had no allies. This led to the end of the war because Germany was basically fighting a war by itself.
