Definition
A method uses by teachers to find out students progress in basic academic areas such as mathematics, reading, writing and spelling.

Psychometric Assessment
Scoring:
Scoring for psychometric tests is often done by calculating the number of questions that they have answered correctly. The score will then be compared to those of either the normative testing group scores provided by the test developer.

The assessment process
Psychometric Testing is generally divided into several individual sessions to avoid fatigue and to get optimal performance from the child. It generally consists of an initial session with the parent/s only (~1 hour) to ascertain a comprehensive history and information about the child’s current level of functioning.

Importance:
Psychometric Assessments help with understanding the cognitive abilities, knowledge as well as the personality traits of a person
Test available
These tests of general intelligence are suited to children with learning difficulties, as they do not involve any reading or writing.
There are one of two tests that can be administered, depending on the child’s age:
Wechsler Preschool and Primary School Intelligence Test (WPPSI) – suitable for younger children aged 2 years 6 months to 7 years 7 months
Wechsler Intelligence Test for Children (WISC) – suitable for older children between the ages of 6 and 16
Behaviour Assessment
Definition
A behavioural assessment is a tool that's designed to observe, understand, explain and predict a person's behaviour.
Purpose?
To understand many aspects of a person's character, including understanding a person's thinking style, willingness to learn, and leadership capabilities.
To observe, explain, and determine human behaviour with advanced assessment tools.
How it works?
A parent or teacher is given a broad range of questions about a child’s behaviour. That includes questions about child's social skills, ways of thinking and ability to adapt.

Assist teachers and parents in identifying the child's problematic behaviour and being able to control it.
