Overview of Bullying - Coggle Diagram

        Make children and youth aware: What is considered bullying at a young age- may be considered a crime when they are 18 years old.
- - - - Discuss the consequences of those who assists, reinforce, outsiders, or kids who defend. All have a role in preventing bullying.
- - - - Like other forms of bullying cyber bullying can lead to physical and mental harm. But, cyber bullying is easier for the abuser to hide from their accusers and it is more likely to be unreported.
        
        Cyber bullying can be from strangers or peers.
        
        Be aware of the websites and apps your child is using. Be vigilant in discussing appropriate online and cell phone behavior. Ask for passwords, "friend" or "follow" your child on social media, install parental controls, and monitor your child's cyber footprint and interactions.
        
        Teach your child the rules of cyber bullying and how to handle it if they are a victim. Don't respond, don't forward, keep the evidence, record information around the interaction, "block" the person sending the messages, and report it to the platform that is involved.
        
        Know when to report it to Law Enforcement.
