Extra Information

Chromosomes and DNA

Chromosomes carry Genetic Information

Cells are the building blocks of life.
All living things are made of them.

A type of cell Division called mitosis ensures that cells have the same Genetic Information

Types of Cells

Eukaryotic Cells

Found in animals, plants, fungi and protista

The DNA Exists in the Nucleus of a cell with in the chromosomes

Contain cell membrane, cytoplasm and genetic material

Genetic material is the DNA, which is found enclosed in the nucleus

Each Chromosome contain the code production for the particular Protein that is called a Gene

Prokaryotic Cells

Each Chromosome is made from a single Molecule of DNA

Found in bacteria

Contain cell membrane, which is surrounded by cell wall, as well as cytoplasm and ribosomes.

When the Cells divide the DNA copies Itself and then coils to form the Chromosomes

No mitochondria or chloroplasts.

May contain extra small rings of DNA named plasmids, which code for specific features like antibiotic resistance

Chromosome Sets

Each Human Cell Contains 46 Chromosomes and can be arranged into 23 pairs

Each Chromosome pair carries the same types of Genes

The 23rd Pair is the Sex Chromosomes

In Females they have TWO X Chromosomes reverenced at XX

In Males There is an X and a Y Also referenced as XY

Cell Division

Cells Divide When An Orgasm Grows, An Orgasm Becomes damaged and needs to produce new cells

it is Essential that any new cells Produced Contain specific Genetic Information

The Cell Cycle

Cell Growth

DNA Syntheses - The Chromanones are now Double Stranded

Further Growth occurs and DNA is cheeked for Errors

Mitosis

The Cytoplasm Separates - Two Cells are Formed

Tempary cells resting period or the Cells stop dividing

Then the Proses Restarts from Cell Growth
