        They had to pass two cliffs on one side lived Charybdis that was a whirlpool that would take a whole ship and Scylla a six-headed creature that would take six men, they went through Scylla and thew a lamb to distract Scylla and made it through
        
        Circe warned him about the Sirens and that they would lure men, he puts beeswax in the oarsman’s ears so they didn't hear the singing but he wanted to listen to the singing so they had to tie him up but don't release him until they pass the island
        
        Circe- one of the gods in the odyssey that prevents Odysseus from returning home, like Calypso later, Circe is a temptress in the story
        
        Circe feeds them turning them into pigs, Eurylokhos tells Odysseus what happened he goes to Circe to get his men he runs into Hermes who gives him a magical flower for protection from Circe’s spells. Odysseus drinks the wine, they make a binding oath, Circe’s nymphs bathe and feed him. He asks for his men to be freed and he stays with Circe for a year.       - Polyphemus shows up at the cave covering the entrance with a rock and notices Odysseus, Polyphemus eats two of his men. He tricks himand puts him to sleep, and blinding him. They tie themselves up under the sheep so Polyphemus can't feel them. Odysseus yells that he fooled Polyphemus, and Polyphemus curses him to make his journey harder.
