  - - - The Mantua Shalersville Fire Department is a career fire department located in Norther Portage County, Ohio. The department servers the residents and businesses of Mantua Township, Shalersville Township and the Village of Mantua.

        The department is staffed around the clock with four firefighters on duty. Our station houses multiple fire apparatus that is equipped with modern fire suppression equipment.

        All of our firefighters are cross trained as State of Ohio certified Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians. The station houses three ambulances with transport capability.

        All full time personnel are trained Fire Safety Inspectors. Our department has a part time fire prevention bureau and we conduct regular fire safety inspections of commercial properties located within the district.
