Soak a wash cloth in either cool or warm water , wiring it out and put it over the ear that bothering you
A hearing pad,lay painful ear on a warm hearing pad

Pathophysiology
Narrowed tubes that run from the middle ear to high in the back of the throat ( eustachian tube) can become swollen and blocked
