For instance, about myself, The first time being compared is when I am going to school. I remember when I'd done a painting of my family and shown it to my parents, they compared my work to a neighbor's son and made me sad with my skills.
If they just gave me praise for my work, I wouldn't feel so sad instead enjoy my first painting
One Roosevelt famous quote: "Comparison is the thief of joy". So how you can enjoy your life when the thief had stolen so much happy form your?
Last but not least, Comparison is the thief of our joy.
having a negative effect on the relationship
First of all, having a negative effect on the relationship for the person you are comparing.
You could resenting others for doing well, without really knowing the true person. You can see this if you’ve ever resented someone upon first meeting them, and then later realized you got the wrong idea.
Therefore, We don’t know what challenges someone else is going through unless we’re walking in their shoes

Secondly, when you start enjoy your own life the world starts to look better again.
No longer are you focused on where you stand relative to others. Instead, your focus and energy is placed on what you’re capable of now and how you can improve yourself.
Life becomes about being a better version of yourself. And when that happens, your effort and energy go toward upgrading your personal operating system every day
