why
excessive amount of water being wasted for the production of jeans because jeans are made out of cotton. 5.5 million litres of water used in the uk for denim production.
Use lots of chemicals such as synthetic dyes that are toxic and can be used in rat poison
However we can use organic cotton and over less harmful chemicals to make jeans
Lighter washed denim has less chemicals as it has been washed out more then darker denims. This can be better as these chemicals can harm your skin.
We can recycle our jeans which can be shredded and mixed with tensil (made of wood pulp) to make cycled or a "healthy" denim. This process also reduces the amount of water used.
These are problems the whole of society face
The need for this product is to recycle and reuse denim which can influence many other people and brands to do the same.
The waistcoat can only use second hand jeans or other forms of denim
where
This waistcoat can be worn as causal wear into town and on holidays as well as holidays as well.
It can be worn in hot climates as it can be shown off to the public but also in cold underneath a hoodie or a coat but the waistcoat would not show.
Denim does not dry quickly and becomes heavy and soggy so it is not suitable for rainy or moisture weather.
It will not be put in harsh weather conditions because England is not a place were we experience harsh weather conditions such as snow so the waistcoat won't have to be durable for that.
