Background story
The differentiation in this is that Shylock studies at Harvard and Antonio at Yale. Their rivalry brings them to the Library in which Shylock made a deal with Antonio and is now in the library in which Antonio owes him books. The mediator in this case is Balthazar who poses as a male librarian since prejudice would not allow a female librarian.
Portia is a reserved girl. She loves books and reading. She is very all over the place and yet put together in terms of her demeanor and the confidence with which she speaks. Her knowledge is impeccable. She ran away from her rich family because they wouldn't accept her differences in lacking the utter formalities. She was not allowed the pleasure of reading, so she becomes a librarian in order to spite her family and for her happiness. Her mother died when she was 7. Her father is very rich and died.

Appearance
Her hair is curly and in the shade of chocolate brown. Her eyes a shade hazel swimming with burnish orange and a green the color of salty olives. Her face almost mousy with doe eyes, a button nose. Her cheeks are sprinkled with freckles and small apt lips. She has a rather petite frame with the height of 5'4. She wears big glasses and usually has her hairr in a messy knot atop her head with stray pieces scattered around.
