yes the painful conversations with doctors, thank god one of my PCPs is queer too now but like its such a weird ordeal to come out to medical professionals
hate crimes need to be directly discussed during public health discourse. the threat/fear of physical violence and stressors from discrimination is just as impactful on health as access to care. especially for trans people, hate crimes can be a direct deterrent from seeking help

this is like a very deeply personal thing, like someones status is their business and is between them and the people they have sex with. other than that it really is up to the individual to decide how to go about living positive
kinda beefing with this paper tho bc why are we only talking about gay men. that was one of the biggest things that gay AIDS activists talked about in the 80s, it isnt just a disease poc gay men get.
this doesnt diminish the experience of POC gay men w aids, but POC gay men will also tell you this
especially because of healthcare access based on race. like white cis gays will always be treated better than their poc gender diverse counterparts
however this does make the case for comprehensive and inclusive sex ed. PLEASE TEACH KIDS ABOUT HAVING SAFE SEX AND HAVING SAFE GAY SEX
