PRODUCTION PROCESS
Production is a system and consists of three elements, namely input, process, and output.
- Inputs: raw materials / raw materials, energy used and information needed.
- Process: activity that processes materials, energy, and information changes so that it becomes a finished product.
- Output: the finished product as a desired result.

BILL OF MATERIALS
Bill of Materials is the final product consisting of a list of items, materials, or materials needed to assemble, mix or produce the final product.
Used by manufacturing engineers to determine items that must be purchased or produced. Production and inventory control planning uses BOM linked to the Master Production Schedule (MPS), to determine the release of items purchased or produced.
