Salt March (1930) - Led by Ghandi, an event in which thousands of indians marched 250 miles to the coast of India . When He reached the sea, Ghandi picked up a lump of natural salt, which was against the law. This campaign took place in order to protest British control over the economy of India, more specifically protesting against the salt monopoly. The action was replicated by thousands who were inspired by Ghandi. by the end of 1930, over 100,000 protestors were arrested including Ghandi.
