example of environmental regulation for business: Forestry Companies usually harvest their trees from “ crown” land/ public lands. When the companies cut down the trees in such areas they are required to pay the land o have re-planted trees in order to sustain our forests

What are they? They are laws in every province that protect workers, employers and their rights.

Prevent Price Fixing
what is price fixing? Price fixing is when the government makes sure that companies cant make their prices too far from normal. It protects the consumer by making sure the prices are affordable and fair. This occurs when similar companies agree to raise the prices of their products in order to gain more profit.
examples: shell, Esso, and petro Canada all agreeing to raise the price for fuel so that they gain more income.
The price-fixing consumer protection act: The prevention of price- taxing is enforced under the Competition act. This act is there to promote competition and guarantee the best prices for consumers.
